Suction lift vs flooded suction applications
Understanding the different types of suction in a dosing system is crucial to select the right components that will be efficient for your application. Learn the difference between suction lift or a flooded suction in this guide.
-
Suction lift application
A suction lift occurs when the fluid level in the tank is positioned below the pump inlet. The suction becomes essential for pulling fluid from the chemical tank.
Compatible modules: DICE DS (suction lift only), or a DICE DM (for both suction lift and flooded suction).
Compatible systems: no suction manifold -
Flooded suction application
Flooded suction is defined by a tank fluid level that is positioned higher than the pump inlet. The pump inlet has constant positive pressure.
Based on the fluid level within the tank, there might be a flooded suction, such as when the tank is full, or a suction lift, as seen when the tank is nearly empty.Compatible module: DICE DM (for both suction lift and flooded suction).
Compatible systems: with a suction manifold
